Armed Robbery Suspects Caught
New Hanover County Sheriff Deputies responded late Friday afternoon to a call for armed robbery at the All Metal Recycling located 1413-B Castle Hayne Road. The victim stated 3 black males wearing ski masks robbed him at gun point inside the business. One of the suspects was wearing a yellow jacket. The suspects took cash from the business, the victim’s phone and fled in an unknown direction. Detectives conducted an investigation which produced two suspects, Dvonta Robbins and Jason Kelly. The two were located walking along MLK towards the Isabella Holmes Bridge approximately two hours later. Both were arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery. The investigation is ongoing.
