The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate Captain K. Sarvis and Lieutenant D. Biddle for their resent educational achievements. Captain Sarvis graduated the FBI National Academy in Quantico Virginia. The FBI National Academy is a professional course of study for U.S. and international law enforcement leaders that serves to improve the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide. Captain Sarvis is currently the Division Commander for Support Services.
Lieutenant Biddle graduated North Carolina State University’s Administrative Officers Management Program. Lieutenant Biddle is the first female Deputy from the Sheriff’s Office to attend the program. The AOMP provides efficient public management techniques that are demanded in these increasingly complex times. During the 12- week instruction, officers participate in courses to enhance administrative and research skills, sharpen problem solving and planning skills, and develop management and leadership skills. Currently, Lieutenant Biddle serves as the Bailiff Section Commander of the Judicial Services Division.
