New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Detectives arrested Shannon Lucas and Earl Jackson on Monday June 18, in the afternoon. Detectives went to the area of Swann Street and James Alley in response to a citizen complaint.
Lucas and Jackson were arrested after detectives witnessed them engage in a street level drug transaction. When detectives apprehended Lucas he had twenty six bags of heroin and a small piece of crack cocaine in his possession. Jackson did not have anything illegal on his person but was charged with Conspiracy for facilitating the drug crime.
“I encourage and thank our citizens who continue to call whenever they believe something illegal is occurring in their neighborhood. Together we are much more effective in combating criminal behavior” said Capt. D.A. Ciamillo of the New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics Division.
