Synthetic Drugs Surfacing in New Hanover County
The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office and the Wilmington Police Department joint Downtown Taskforce encountered “Pump-It” this weekend. If you hear your kids talking about “Pump-It”, be concerned. While it’s marketed as an “enhanced plant vitamin” and not for human use, many are abusing it to get high. The Downtown Taskforce encountered two individuals injecting the substance this weekend. Since it is not illegal no arrest were made. Pump-It is the latest substance law enforcement is dealing with following K-2 and bath salts as a synthetic drug.
