Vice Unit Stops Drug Trafficker

The New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics unit closed an investigation Tuesday evening with the arrest of one subject on multiple drug trafficking charges and the seizure of 260 bags of heroin.

Dilila Latrice Spencer was stopped by County Vice and Narcotics Detectives in the 2500 block of Troy Dr. Inside the vehicle, detectives located 200 bags of heroin. Detectives continued the investigation and conducted a search at 121 S. 8th St, which was the suspect’s residence. Sixty additional bags of heroin were uncovered at the residence.

Spencer is currently in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $550,600.00 secure bond. She has been charged with 3 counts of Trafficking Heroin, Possession with the Intent to Manufacture Sell Deliver, Maintaining a Dwelling or Vehicle for Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with the Intent to Sell and Deliver, and Failure to Appear.

Street value of heroin seized is over $6000.00
