Shortly after 2:00 pm on November 5, 2010. A man walked into the First Bank located on South College Road near Monkey Junction. The man demanded cash from the teller and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. Deputies quickly set up a perimeter and began searching for the man. After an extensive search the perimeter was extinguished, but Detectives continued their investigation.
A couple of days later Detectives following up on leads quickly sought out Dennis Dean Faulk, a forty seven year old white male, as a key suspect in the robbery. While conducting a follow up at Faulk’s residence Detectives were able to locate evidence linking Faulk to the crime. Evidence was seized and Dennis Dean Faulk was arrested for the robbery of First Bank. Faulk has been charged with Common Law Robbery and is currently in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $4,000 secure bond.
