WILMINGTON – A joint investigation involving Detectives from the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotic Division and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service led to the arrest of a Wilmington man for trafficking marijuana.
Detectives found Moises Guillen Padilla, 31 of Wilmington, in possession of more than 13 pounds of marijuana, valued at $29,000. The arrest occurred on Thursday just before 5:30 p.m. at 219 S. Kerr Avenue, Lot. 219.
Moises Padilla was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for drugs. Padilla remains in custody at the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $12,000 secured bond.
