City / County K-9 Team Takes First Place at Trials

NEW HANOVER – The U.S. Police Canine Association PD-1 Certification trials, hosted by Carolina and Kure Beach Police Departments, concluded on Saturday at Ashley High School. New Hanover County Sheriff’s Sergeant Clay Benton partnered with the Wilmington Police K-9 Unit to form a four-person team and won first place honors.
The results from the combined effort are:
