Narcotic Investigation Nets Large Quantity of Heroin

NEW HANOVER – Detectives with the New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics Division recently concluded a five month investigation that led the arrest of two Wilmington men and the seizure of 230 bags of heroin stamped “death wish”. The arrest occurred on Monday, October 19th as Detectives executed a search warrant at 5010 McClelland Drive, Apt. 202. The heroin, packaged for sale, has a street value of over $8,000.

Jamar Keshawn Parker (left), 22, and Kevin Che Robinson (right), 32, both of Wilmington were charged with possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver heroin, two counts of trafficking heroin, maintaining a vehicle to keep/deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both men were released from the New Hanover County Detention Facility after each posted a $25,000 secured bond.

“These individuals were trafficking large amounts of heroin in our area. Anytime we can make an arrest of this magnitude, it’s a positive thing for our community”, said Captain D.A. Ciamillo.
