Altime Laverne Coulter Jr., 47, and Anthony Fashion, 53, both of New York were charged with trafficking heroin by manufacturing, trafficking heroin by transportation, trafficking heroin by possession, possession with intent to sell deliver heroin, manufacturing heroin, maintaining a vehicle to keep/deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both men remain in custody at the New Hanover County Detention Facility, each under a $100,000 secured bond.
In addition to the heroin seizure, Detectives also located equipment of a mobile heroin manufacturing operation. Some of this equipment included a filtered respirator, coffee grinder, ink stamps and over three thousand wax bags.
The two men are suspected of distributing large quantities of heroin to New Hanover County on two other occasions and are believed to be high-level traffickers for local heroin dealers.
