B&E Suspects Arrested near Monkey Junction

NEW HANOVER – Just after 5:00 a.m. Thursday, Deputies responded to a Breaking & Enteringin Progress in the area of 1500 Southeast Harbor Drive in southern New Hanover County. Deputies were provided with a vehicle description and direction of travel which assisted them in locating the vehicle near Wal-Mart, at 5135 Carolina Beach Road. Inside the vehicle, a book bag was located containing several GPS devices, DVD player, digital camera, credit cards and other items consistent with vehicle break-ins. Andrew Hall (Photo-Left), 19, charged with three counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and three counts of larceny remains in custody under a $5,000 secured bond. Michael Dean Brooks (Photo-Right), 18, was also charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny. Mr. Books was released after posting a $5,000 secured bond. Detectives anticipate additional charges as they work to identify other victims in this case.
