Bernardo Medina-Sandoval, 36, and Angel Hernandez-Benitez, 52, both of New Hanover County were charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine, conspiring to traffic in cocaine, maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for drugs, possession with the intent to sell and deliver and conspiring to sell/deliver cocaine. Hernandez-Benitez was also charged for being a fugitive from justice on an out-of-state warrant for drug related activity. Both men remain in custody at the New Hanover County Detention Facility.
In addition to the cocaine seizure, Detectives also seized $13,800 in cash, four automobiles and one boat.
Detectives add as this investigation continues additional arrests are possible.
