Community Resource Coordinators

Port City United will collaborate with designated local nonprofits to have community resource coordinators in schools to help students and families receive an equitable and easy access to support services. The nonprofits who will be partnering on this effort include Communities in Schools, Leading Into New Communities (LINC, Inc.), and Voyage. Seven local schools have been identified initially for participation based on need, and those are:

  • Gregory ElementaryChildren reading
  • Snipes Elementary
  • Forest Hills Elementary
  • Freeman Elementary
  • DC Virgo
  • Williston Middle School
  • New Hanover High School

Participation in these programs will be a collaborative effort of PCU, nonprofits, and designated schools coordinated by Jarett Gattison, PCU Community Resource Coordinator Liaison.
