NHSO Wants You To Know, Slow Down In School Zones It’s Going To Cost You

New laws have come into effect recently that can really have an impact to you if you have a traffic violation. North Carolina General Assembly increased court cost for the following:
Court Cost
Infraction involving motor vehicle law- $188
Infraction not involving motor vehicle law- $178
Criminal District Court involving motor vehicle law- $190
Criminal District Court not involving motor vehicle law-$180

Other Cost and Fines Effected
Speeding on school property or in a school zone- $250 fine
Charges that could be plead down to Improper Equipment will receive a $50 fee
