Armed Robbery Attempt Sends Two to Jail

 

OGDEN – A victim’s 911 call prompted deputies response to an armed robbery at 208 Cannon Drive, just before 10:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Victim told Deputies that two black males entered his open garage, brandished handguns and demanded money. A short verbal altercation occurred prior to the suspects fleeing the area on foot, empty-handed. A responding K-9 Deputy encountered and immediately apprehended the suspects without further incident or injury.

As Detectives continued the attempted armed robbery investigation, they learned the suspects had also entered a nearby residence and stole a ring. Demarch Johnson (left), 17, and Jasmine Dante Delts (right), 20, both of Wilmington, were arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, felonious breaking & entering, larceny of a firearm and larceny after breaking & entering. Johnson and Delts are both being held in the New Hanover County Detention facility, each under a $150,000 secured bond.
