Chief Deputy Smith Receives Top Honors at FBINA Conference

NEW HANOVER – As a recent graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy, Chief Deputy Rhonda Smith was invited to attend the 2009 Conference.

The conference, held in Louisville, Kentucky, provides attending delegates a myriad of learning opportunities through presenters and networking events that generate consideration and inspiration on matters relating to their profession. This year’s conference theme, “GLOBAL LEADERSHIP One World Once Voice One Purpose” focused on four main areas of study: Re-thinking Leadership; Leadership in a Crisis; The Narrow Road of Leadership, and Coaching for Success.

Among thirty-two other delegates Chief Smith entered the Pistol Competition that required her to shoot an aimed course of fire as well as a variety of combat shoots. This was no match to Chief Smith who was awarded a trophy and a handgun as a result of her shooting ability. Congratulations to Chief Smith!
