Crossing Guard
|
|
As a School Crossing Guard you are primarily responsible
for directing traffic at the assigned school crossings in a
manner so as to fully protect the safety of the school
children while at the same time, providing for the orderly
and safe movement of vehicular traffic.

QUALIFICATIONS
AGE - Applicants
must be at least 21 years of age.
EDUCATION - At a minimum, an applicant must
have graduated from an accredited high school or hold an
approved General Education Development certificate (GED).
CITIZENSHIP - Applicants must be citizens of
the United States.
CRIMINAL HISTORY - Pursuant to the rules and
regulations promulgated by the North Carolina Sheriff’s
Training & Standards Commission applicants must not have
committed nor have been convicted of any criminal
offense as of the date of the application to be
qualified.
MILITARY SERVICE - Applicants who have prior
military service must have received an honorable
discharge from active military service.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION - Applicants must
satisfactory pass a thorough background investigation,
including a check of State and Federal Bureau of
Investigation records.
